Expression of culture, community and Country 1 Jul 2025 - 30 Nov 2026 Featuring stories deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of West Arnhem Land, these artworks highlight ancestral narratives, traditional practices, and spiritual beliefs passed down through generations.
Artists such as Meshak Nabegeyo vividly portray Mimih spirits teaching survival skills, while Joey Nganjmirra intricately illustrates historic encounters with Macassan boats. Clinton Namundja’s depiction of Mandem (waterlily dreaming) explores deep connections with land and seasonal rhythms, and Gavin Namarnyilk continues a lineage of artistic tradition through his powerful portrayal of the Nakurrundilhba spirit.
